Changes to Your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) Notifications – What You Need to Know for 2026
At ClaimLinx, we’re always working to make our processes faster, more secure and convenient for our members and providers. This means we’re always looking for ways to improve how important claims information is delivered. That is why we will be following insurance industry trends and will be moving all communication regarding claims to the secure member and provider portal.
Starting January 1, 2026, there will be a major change to how you receive your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) notifications. EOBs will no longer be sent by mail automatically. Instead, members and providers will need to log in to the secure ClaimLinx Private Claims Portal to view, download, or print claims information.
This change will make member information more secure, reduce mailing delays, and help ClaimLinx protect sensitive health and financial data. It’s also an eco-friendly step toward reducing paper use.
If you still wish to receive EOBs by mail after January 1, you will need to notify ClaimLinx directly. Without this request, all notifications will be provided only through the online portal.
How will this change affect members and providers?
As of January 1, 2026, members and providers will no longer receive Explanations of Benefits by mail. All claims documentation will be available on the private claims portal. If members would like to continue receiving mailed EOBs, they will need to opt into this service directly through ClaimLinx.
What is an Explanation of Benefits (EOB)?
An EOB is a document you receive after a claim is processed. It explains what services were billed, how much your plan paid, and what costs (if any) you may still owe. It is not a bill, but it is an important record for your healthcare expenses.
Why is ClaimLinx making this change?
Moving EOBs to the secure online portal offers several benefits:
- Faster access – View your EOB as soon as it’s ready, without waiting for mail delivery.
- More secure – No risk of your personal health information being lost or stolen in the mail.
- Environmentally friendly – Reduces paper waste and printing.
How can I access my EOBs after January 1, 2026?
You will need to log in to the ClaimLinx Private Claims Portal. Once you’re registered, you can view, download, and print your EOBs any time.
Will this change apply to all members and providers?
Yes, this change will occur company-wide for all members and providers. This is a policy change regarding how ClaimLinx communicates with members and providers in the future. We see this as the best way to modernize our processes and ensure ongoing information security.
How do I register for the Claims Portal?
Registration is quick and easy. Follow the steps on our portal registration page here: Login Now to ClaimLinx Private Member Portal.
You’ll need:
- Your member or provider ID number
- A valid email address
- Basic personal information to verify your account
What if I am a member and I still want EOBs mailed to me?
If you prefer to keep receiving paper copies, you will need to contact ClaimLinx to make that request. After January 1, 2026, we will only send EOBs by mail to those who have opted in.
Who should I contact with questions?
