When it comes to offering a quality health plan, ClaimLinx doesn’t stop with simply writing insurance and administering benefits. Our service team provides more to each client and member because that is what is needed to get the most of a company’s benefits plan.

Now listed on our website are all included services as a part of setting up a Simple Option Solution health plan, the flagship product that allows businesses to offer a comprehensive health plan at a much lower cost.

See details on included services such as medical claim negotiation, medical claim reporting and analysis, member and administrator portals, online application, prescription rebates and coupons and so much more. All of these services are provided as a part of our role as consultant, agency and/or third party administrator.

We know that the work of administering a benefit plan doesn’t stop at the effective date. In fact, that can be just the beginning. That’s why we have added all of these services for clients to take advantage of our team’s expertise. We offer education meetings and materials for all members and administrators because we know how challenging navigating the health insurance industry can be.

It’s our highest priority that our clients are able to get full use of their health insurance. It’s not enough simply to buy great benefits at an affordable cost; members have to be able to use the benefits too.

Some of our clients already know how useful these additional services are. They request reporting to make sure they’re staying on top of any opportunities for additional savings in the future. They refer members with expensive drugs to our service team to search for drug programs that offer coupons or pharmacy locations with cheaper rates. They schedule educations meetings for members to help with the transition to a new benefits plan. If you’re not taking advantage of these services, you’re not receiving all that ClaimLinx has to offer.

Client hosts fundraiser to provide access to healthcare services

The Cole Foundation, a client of ClaimLinx, is hosting its first Casino Night fundraiser in hopes of raising $10,000 towards its goal of providing healthcare services to underserved communities in its hometown of Houston and abroad.

The event will be held on September 21 in Spring, TX and will include raffle prizes and classic casino games like Roulette, Poker, Black Jack and Craps as well as drinks and hors d’oeuvres. ClaimLinx is sponsoring a game table for the event to show its support for the foundation.

The Cole Foundation is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to providing physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as nursing care to children, adults and seniors that are not able to receive that care through traditional healthcare means. It also acquires tools for mobility, such as braces, crutches or others, for those that could not otherwise afford them.

Anyone can give to the foundation or learn more about its mission in Houston and abroad on its website cole-foundation.org.

In 2017, the foundation committed hundreds of labor hours and thousands of dollars to assist victims of Hurricane Harvey, including acquiring custom leg braces for a woman who had not walked without assistance or pain in more than 20 years. In years past, it has provided aid to help children or elderly people walk and installed an access ramp for a man to safely enter and exit his home.

And their “mission does not stop locally.” Over the past nine years, the organization has been able to send teams of therapists on nine different missions to places like Ecuador, India, China, Guatemala and Haiti to provide the same important therapies, education for caregivers and tools for mobility that it provides in Houston.

“We are making a difference here, and abroad,” Brandi Taff, Event Chairperson, wrote in an introduction letter. “We are transforming lives. We are bringing hope. We would like you to be a part of our journey.”

ClaimLinx office closed for Labor Day

The ClaimLinx office will be closed on Monday, September 4 to celebrate Labor Day with friends and family. All inquiries via phone or email with be returned as soon as possible when the office reopens with regular business hours on Tuesday.

We hope all our clients and members are able to enjoy the holiday safely with loved ones. Our staff will be attending cookouts, traveling to beaches and trying to enjoy the last gasps of Summer. Ever wonder where the Labor Day holiday comes from? The first Labor Day took place in New York City on September 5, 1882 when the Central Labor Union organized a march from City Hall to a picnic in an uptown park. Workers of all kinds, including cigarmakers, dressmakers, printers, shoemakers, bricklayers and other factory workers, carried signs advocating an eight-hour work day and higher wages.

At the time, men, women and children were known to work 12-hour work days up to seven days per week. It’s reported as many as 10,000 people came together to march that day.

The first Labor Day parade was a risk to the workers, because their one-day strike could have turned into a dismissal. As the labor movement grew across the country, more industrial centers followed New York City’s lead in celebrating the first Monday of September as a “workingmen’s holiday.” Parades across cities were made up of workers and labor unions holding signs about more rights and more pay to exhibit the strength of their organizations.

Amid a series of strikes and protests, President Grover Cleveland signed a bill into law on June 28, 1894 declaring Labor Day a national holiday. Recognizing the day nationally was seen as a way of maintaining support from labor organizations when they were becoming increasingly powerful.

Now, most people celebrate Labor Day with backyard barbecues or last gasps of summer celebration rather than parades with signs about labor rights. But maybe this year, with this little bit of history in hand, we can all take a minute to remember the organizations that gave workers this often much-needed day to unwind with friends and family.

ClaimLinx opens doors to clients and members at new office

Offices are set up, ClaimLinx swag is on display and new signage points visitors in the right direction. ClaimLinx staff has settled at the new office in New Hampshire, which is now available for local members and clients to meet team members.

At this time, this office is open for meetings by appointment only. Owners and administrators in the area can email service@claimlinx.com to contact a team member about setting up an appointment, and local members can email help@claimlinx.com if they need assistance in person.

ClaimLinx opened this office as a way to connect to local clients and become a more active member in the community. We know how important local connections are when it comes to health insurance. Knowing the area hospitals, pharmacies and insurance companies is an important part of our job as consultants.

“People like to know we’re nearby,” ClaimLinx President, Christy Quigley, said. “I’ve already seen a difference when talking to people here now that we have an office in town.”

This office was set up as a home base for service team members when visiting clients and as a resource for the sales team. However, there are no consistent business hours at this time for this location.

National Benefit Consultant, Tom Quigley, said he wanted to add this office, because he saw the same need for creative solutions for rising insurance prices in the area as he first saw in the Cincinnati tri-state area that inspired the ClaimLinx Solution.

To celebrate the new office location and get to know some of the other local business owners, ClaimLinx hosted an open house event on July 26. Outside consultants, members and clients came to the office to share food, drinks and conversation.

“It was great to put a face to the name of some of the people we work with day-to-day, but who I had never gotten the chance to meet before,” Christy Quigley said.

Other activities included giving away a raffle prize to a ClaimLinx member that attended the event.

We hope to host more events at the new location, including a ribbon cutting ceremony organized by the Mount Washington Chamber of Commerce. Continue to follow our updates on this new location through our website and social media.

The ClaimLinx office will be closed on Wednesday, July 4 to celebrate Independence Day with friends and family. All inquiries will be returned as soon as possible upon our return.

To kick off the celebration, read some interesting facts about the American Independence Day.

July 2 may actually be a better date to celebrate. That is when Congress in 1776 ruled in favor of independence from Great Britain.
We celebrate on July 4 because that is the date Congress approved the final draft of the Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson.
The Fourth of July is the biggest hot dog holiday of the year, when Americans consume more than 155 million tasty dogs.
People often celebrate with an ice cold beer, but if you want to enjoy the libation-of-choice of the Founding Fathers you should pour a strong rum cocktail.
When it was founded, the United States was just a small country of 13 colonies and about 2.5 million people. Now about 326 million people call the U.S. home.
Exactly 50 years after finishing the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1826 both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams passed away within hours of each other.
The first Independence Day celebration was held on July 8, 1776 in Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was read aloud after calling people to town by ringing the Liberty Bell.
Every Fourth of July the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia is tapped 13 times in honor of the 13 original colonies.
Only two people signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4 — John Hancock and Charles Thomson. Most other people signed on August 2.
